## Troubleshooting policy (public hosted bots)

1. Most failures are **missing Discord permissions** (channel denies or incomplete invite permissions). Fix permissions or re-invite with `bot` + `applications.commands` scopes.
2. If bots appear offline site-wide, wait; the operator’s PC may be updating unnoticed.
3. Slash commands missing: re-invite (include `applications.commands`) and wait for Discord sync.
4. Link Fix: suppress original embeds then silent quote-reply with fixer URL; needs Send Messages + Embed Links + Manage Messages; skip with `fxignore` or `<url>`; configure `/linkfix` (master/site/bulk-all toggles; disabled by default — enable when needed).
5. AI “tool processing too complex”: tool round-trip limit; current builds force a final answer from existing search/tool results.

## Self-hosting

Source is public but heavy (Python 3.11, many optional ML stacks). The website recommends inviting the hosted bots for normal use. Self-host details live on GitHub, not as the site’s primary CTA.

Message content and IDs may be processed for features, logging, and third-party APIs (LLM providers, media platforms, Link Fix proxies, Cloudflare Tunnel for temporary downloads ~10 minutes served from the bot host, getloli page-view counter on the website, Google Analytics on the website).
